Free customized volunteer matching services and 1-on-1 volunteer application help
Free public workshops with a focus on volunteering, career exploration, capacity-building, and leadership skills. *We charge a fee for workshop requests from schools and community organizations to cover some of our workshop expenses. Email us at [email protected] and we can send you a quote.

Our History

Helping Hands began with Janelle Hinds. While in high school, she noticed many students struggled to choose career paths and complete their community service hours.

To make volunteering more accessible, she created the Helping Hands App, connecting youth with volunteer opportunities and helping them track their hours (*currently in alpha and unavailable). Since becoming a non-profit in 2019, Helping Hands has expanded to offer mentorship, workshops, and community programs that empower youth.
